Surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, the Aggelakis’ family wineyard is located in Thrapsano Pediados, a village identified with the art of pottery since antiquity. This identification is supported by the existence of smithereens of ceramics, called “thripsala” or “thrapsala”, which have given their name to the village.
The long –standing relationship of Thrapsano with pottery and vine cultivation has inspired us to revive an ancient tradition by having part of fermentation and ripening of wine take place in clay vessels. Therefore, the original fruit “returns” to the soil, where it initially came from.
